Cycle plans are usually built in a spreadsheet, emailed around and consolidated by hand. That works until the cycle shifts by two days, or a public holiday nobody accounted for shows up: every plan then has to be re-dated one by one, and the versions multiply.
Kipken schedules visits by working day of the cycle, not by date. It is a design decision with a concrete consequence: correcting the cycle’s dates, or marking a day as non-working, re-dates every plan without touching a single line. The date is computed; it is not stored.
The rest follows the rep’s actual work. Each visit is planned with a time and marked as booked or walk-in, because an appointment and a cold call neither cost the same nor are prepared the same way. The plan goes to the manager, who approves it or returns it with a written reason. And the annual calendar shows the full year: where each cycle starts, which days are loaded and which were left empty.
The follow-up view starts from the book of business, not from what was captured. A physician nobody planned for still appears — they are precisely the one to look at.
